An impressive main character, interesting secondary characters, a plot that instantly draws you in and doesn’t let you go until the very end, and complete immersion into the atmosphere of the 19th century.

The film is beautiful, I really liked the main character played by Pierre Niney, although sometimes I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was watching Fantomas, and the plot, of course, was significantly reformatted. But overall, a very decent film. The landscapes on the island take your breath away.

A large-scale French adaptation of the classic novel by Alexandre Dumas. The film impresses with its visuals, epicness and a strong performance by Pierre Niney as Edmond Dantes. However, despite some simplifications of the plot, the film remains true to the spirit of the original.

I’m not a fan of this genre, but I watched the film with some interest. Despite the long running time, the time flew by while watching it.

It seems to be in the same style as the reboot of "The Musketeers", but no: if there everything is subordinated to speed and shock effect, then here the work is more subtle. Betrayal occurs in a heartfelt whisper, revenge is cooked on a slow fire, the actors play beautifully.

The film is not bad, but it lacks something, I think of a moment like this: you’re preparing some dish, you seem to be doing everything right, but when you try it, you realize that you should have added this seasoning and the dish would have turned out great, that’s how it is with this film.

Not a masterpiece, but quite an interesting adaptation of the work by Alexandre Dumas. Pierre Niney looks good in the role of the Count of Monte Cristo. The film is interesting to watch despite its almost 3-hour running time

A great adventure and a real blockbuster. I respect the execution. Everyone here is so beautiful and important. The ending seemed a bit forced: everything developed so epically and passionately, and ended without much romance.

I think that those who have seen many screen adaptations of "The Count of Monte Cristo" and "The Prisoner of the Chateau d’If" will find this new version to be a good addition to the famous story. Fresh, exciting and quite interesting. 8 out of 10

I didn’t understand why Dantes needed masks, in which he still looks exactly the same. But I wanted to read Dumas, that’s true.

Sweet word revenge. New screen adaptation about the Count of Monte Cristo and in my opinion it is the best. Pierre Ninet perfectly fits into the role of the Count. Three hours of enjoyment of the film. I definitely recommend watching.

Colourful, magnificent views, costumes, but its own (its own vision) interpretation of the novel, a more lively atmosphere than previous film adaptations, you can watch it.

On the other hand, the film left only positive emotions, so I will close my eyes to these two minuses and give it a seven.

Galloping across Europe. Almost no time is given to the characters. There is no talk of any empathy. Visually, it is filmed decently, but I expected more from the acting. And so – I watched it and forgot.

The juicy picture does not save the too schematic, abstract and lifeless retelling of one of the most interesting and emotional works. If before I always lived with Edmond, then this time it did not touch me at all.

I haven’t read the work, but I watched the short version with great pleasure. It’s done very well. I didn’t feel like the film was 3 hours long. Wonderful setting and filming. Amazing musical accompaniment. It’s definitely worth watching again, but after reading it.

The movie deserves a 7, but the ratings and reviews raised my expectations, and in fact I wasted 3 hours on a naive mediocre plot. I recommend it only if you have never watched a good movie before.

I got a pleasant surprise when I realized that The Count of Monte Cristo 2024 is one of the best films of this year

I am one of those people who separates the wheat from the chaff, and that is because cinema and literature are completely different forms of art. I really liked the film. Beautiful, lively, dynamic. And in general… Pierre Niney (One Love) is the best Count of Monte Cristo, in my opinion, that is exactly how he should be.

Watch only for the beautiful picture, Gaide and the similarity of the main character with the book Dantes. It has little in common with the book, the plot and characters are merged (Cavalcanti became a good guy, Monte Cristo almost a villain). The ending is generally funny – "gorgeous" revenge che… Read the book – a masterpiece!
