A complex film, chock-full of psychological insights, somehow packaged as a horror film. The jump scares are its most inappropriate and weakest part. And I don’t understand… but the film is clearly missing something; it’s difficult to watch (but easy to put down) and even try to take seriously.
This is sufficiently creepy, wowzer I’m loving this film barely 30 minutes in so far. The cruelty and mind games and the emotional brutality of this film, is matched by the physical brutalrity. The film has made itself my new Dakota Fanning project.
