Mulholland Drive

A movie where you get raped and you like it. The film is difficult to digest, and the very process of analyzing what is happening only aggravates the feeling of rape. It was filmed cool, the actors are simply unreal, and the viewing experience is unforgettable.

After Twin Peaks, Lynch’s ideas are immediately visible. As if the whole movie is the White House, where, as always, the devil is going on. Thank you, even though the dialogues were not the other way around. Cool, I like it.

A puzzle film about two lesbians. I don’t particularly like solving riddles while watching a movie, I prefer to have everything explained to me at the end. This didn’t happen here, so I stupidly read someone else’s analysis, admired Lynch’s ability to create surrealism and gave the film a 7.

Ooooh, what did you think about becoming an actress? Close, close the box, Hollywood deceived you.

Almost 10 years after the last viewing, I re-watched Lynch’s imperishable work, timing it to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Naomi Watts, who played her best role in it.

The most beautiful, sensual, intoxicating and mysterious, and at times insanely creepy and uncomfortable movie, in which you want to dissolve. Of course, a pearl of cinema and one of Lynch’s best works, to which you want to return again and again. One of my favorite movies of all time.

One of the best films about Hollywood and vanity. Lynch at his peak. Good food for interpretation.

You can, of course, sit and dig into the plot with a smart look, but this is some kind of sucking out of your finger. You still don’t get a clear answer to your questions. But it’s worth admitting that it’s not without interest, although the beginning is a bit drawn out.

I watched the film 10 times and every time was like the first. Didn’t understand the first time? Look up Lynch’s clues on Wikipedia and look again. A very cool film, for me it is Lynch’s best film. Dream/reality, Dreams/reality, Love/betrayal. In the second half of the film the chronology is broken

When I watched it again, nothing became clearer, but the film is still excellent.

Bliiiiiiiine… So many enthusiastic people. The film is a real chewing gum. I even found it depressing Why do people get so high from brain rape? For me, a worthwhile film is more intended to bring pleasure. But to unravel some knots tightly tied by the author – alas, this is for an amateur

A cool introduction, an unexpected ending and a story of a girl who has lost her memory searching for herself. Lynch has probably made the most popular of his films. All the torment of waiting will be repaid by the third act. If you like minimalism in visuals and don’t get bored with dialogue films, then this is definitely for you. I advise you to see it

What’s happening on the screen is completely surreal, and the less sense it seems, the more interesting it is to watch further. Lynch is in his prime – already experienced and not yet crazy. Badalamenti’s music, as always, is top notch, and the main characters are interesting to watch, and not only because of their sexual tension :)

It’s not clear what I watched  a masterpiece for the chosen ones, judging by the ratings 🤯

I watched this film many times. Then I watched interpretations of the film. In the end, nothing became clear. But, for some reason, the film is so fascinating that you just want to watch it again.

A movie about America, in which something went wrong from the first frame. Everyday mysticism, Hollywood hills, stunningly beautiful people and a picture so juicy that you want to eat it with spoons

Looking for clues, you drown even more. So, relax. I liked it, I love puzzles. But you’ll have to solve the Rubik’s cube yourself)

I just left the cinema… It’s as if I found a standard with which I will compare all the films on the big screen. It’s some kind of magic – the sound, the picture, the plot – sometimes they fascinate, sometimes they keep you in suspense, sometimes in bewilderment, sometimes they force you to think twice… I’ll go again 100%!

I didn’t quite appreciate this project. At the beginning there was a good passion for a quality detective story, but in the end it turned into a mess

Lynch can speak complexly about simple things. Fortunately, not as confusingly as in "Lost Highway", and with a little bit of strawberry… That must be why "Mulholland Drive" has a lower status: the film is unlikely to surprise fans, but those indifferent to Lynch will be hooked only if their body temperature is 38+.

A stunning multi-layered work, on the surface a very complex psychological thriller about two actress friends, one of whom ordered the murder of the other out of jealousy, locked herself in the house, experiencing pangs of conscience. But if deeper, this is a statement about the film industry, the Hollywood dream.

The film is quite complex, but it is possible and worth understanding. For those who did not understand this film, it is better to watch it again, but do not watch any under-reviews! Such films are created to develop thinking and push the boundaries of consciousness!

I didn’t remember anything from the first viewing, and surprisingly, the second time, the plot was quite obvious to me. By the end, all the answers fall out, the same Lost Highway is much more complicated. I sincerely advise not to read the reviews if anything, but to rewatch

Strange, mysterious; the film constantly keeps you in suspense, and at times a real chthonic horror creeps in, as if Lynch brought to the screen something that really exists beyond the boundaries of this world. An interesting experience.
