    Manga source for “Little Nicky”

There is no reliable information confirming that “Little Nicky” (2000) was based on a manga (or any other published print source). It is generally documented as an original screenplay project rather than an adaptation of a manga.

    Manga

Title: not confirmedAuthor: not confirmedIn commonly available reference descriptions about the project’s origin, no manga original is cited, and there is no consistently referenced record of a pre-existing “Little Nicky” manga published before the film.

How closely the film matches the manga

Because no manga source is confirmed to exist, it isn’t possible to assess adaptation fidelity: there is no established manga text to compare plot, characters, or structure against.

Related people mentioned in public context (without discussing the film itself)

Public sources discussing the project commonly mention, among others, Adam Sandler and Tim Herlihy, but this does not constitute evidence of a manga source.

A few more laughs wouldn’t have hurt.

    ReelViews January 1, 2000

I can enjoy a dumb, raunchy comedy as much as the next classless viewer. But it has to be funny, and Little Nicky isn’t.

    calendarlive.com January 1, 2000

    A deeply unfunny fantasy comedy.

    Austin Chronicle January 1, 2000

The sight of Harvey Keitel playing the Devil – the father of Sandler’s Little Nicky – may be worth the price of admission…

    RogerEbert.com January 1, 2000

I can see how Little Nicky could have worked, It’s just that Sandler, at the center, is a distraction.

    CNN.com January 1, 2000

The nonexistent laughs just keep on coming.

A comedy in a fantasy setting with the level of humor of a typical Sandler film. The grotesque atmosphere of hell and a generally good script with comic acting can make a good impression. But a comparison with "Dogma" suggests itself and here the film will lose. A one-time movie.

This movie with Sandler seems funnier to me) with its otherworldly state, that there are jokes here and good humor.

A hopelessly dark comedy where all hell breaks loose, where torture and heavy metal rule the hellish world, where flamboyant celebrity cameos never fail to make me smile. This creation is intended for a narrow circle of film buffs.
