Shazam! The Comic Book
Overview
The film "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" is inspired by the DC Comics character Shazam, originally known as Captain Marvel. The character was created by Bill Parker and C.C. Beck in 1939. Shazam is the alter ego of a young boy named Billy Batson, who can transform into an adult superhero by uttering the magic word "Shazam."Creators
- Bill Parker: Bill Parker was a writer and editor who co-created the character of Shazam. He was instrumental in developing the original stories and the concept of a young boy transforming into a superhero.
- C.C. Beck: C.C. Beck was the artist who brought Shazam to life with his distinctive and colorful art style. Beck's illustrations helped define the visual identity of the character and the world he inhabited.
Comic Book Influence on the Film
The film "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" draws inspiration from various storylines and elements found in the Shazam comics. While the movie takes creative liberties to fit the cinematic universe, it remains true to the core themes of the comics, such as the importance of family, the balance between youth and adulthood, and the magical elements that define Shazam's powers.Key Elements from the Comics
- Transformation and Powers: The film retains the iconic transformation of Billy Batson into Shazam, along with the powers derived from mythological figures, which are central to the comic book character.
- Family Dynamics: The theme of family, both biological and chosen, is a significant aspect of the comics and is reflected in the film's narrative.
- Mythological Influences: The comics often explore mythological themes, which are also present in the film, particularly in the depiction of gods and magical creatures.

The sequel is shot at about the same moderate level, but feels more mature in terms of violence and I liked the monsters much more than in the first film. Of the entire line of DC failures, this one, in my opinion, is the most unfair; at least here the plot does not cause brain cancer.

Well, yes, an ambiguous sequel, and yet the cast, bestiary, jokes for three hundred – it was something to see. Not exactly a sterile film. The plot is not impressive, alas. But GG is charming and cameo at the end is good. There, Antea looked at Freddie so funny. The beauty of kina is in the little things.

Sandberg appears to have stumbled. And broke the schnobel. We must look at it.

Not at all entertaining. I expected a more childish and stupid movie. And the fact that it is not that is rather disappointing. Typical superhero movie of recent years.
Watched
An incredibly unbalanced film that has humor, people get killed, a first love that causes Spanish shame in places, a dragon and middle-aged Lucy Liu (she is already very old). Worse than the first film, and the understanding that there will be no sequel reduces interest in the film.
Watched
A boring, loose and stupid sequel with near-zero character development and absolutely dull caricature villains. Acting out – tabloid theatricalism. Sidab-level combat choreography. Bring Sandburg back to horror.
Watched
In short, a stupid arc from a comic book. The theme of the family is outlined, but not disclosed. Kneading with the gods is standard. People get killed, then stupid jokes are given out … Generally 5 out of 10, but funny, so 6.
Watched
The film takes the charm of the first film and enhances it with a more developed story, compelling villains and exciting set-pieces.

The franchise remains watchable, but the inevitable degradation was not long in coming. In a good way, it would be necessary to throw off another point for the racial and LGBT agenda, well, yes, the score is not high anyway.

Once again, a superhero movie was powerfully filmed. In general, I could understand everything and even put 7, but the last minutes with the cameo of one character and his plot-forming actions turned out to be absolutely nightmarish. Well, you can’t write such scripts, well, what are you …

I liked the first part, but I didn’t remember it very well, that’s why when watching it I had a feeling that I missed some movie between the first and second. About the film: good, funny in places, interesting, unicorns are unexpected, Wonder Woman is like a cherry on the cake!

It’s hard to call this film even childish, a stupid plot, endless krinzhovye statements, well, the only good thing in this film is a good graphics.

The second Shazam, like the first, is a children’s movie with screwed-up characters who grow up and find their place in the world. Funny, entertaining, light and with understandable concerns for a teenager, but understandable with great power and great responsibility. PS. There are 2 post-credits
Watched
Firstly, it has long been clear that superheroes and dragons do not mix in films. Secondly, it’s probably normal for children, otherwise it’s just some kind of stupidity in the plot. Thirdly, it’s a shame to look at Levi considering the updated DC Universe. Fourthly, Shazam’s abilities are still unclear.

Cute, naive, stupid (extremely stupid at times), funny, a film to relieve stress. And this is not in a bad sense of the word. The jokes are funny, the action is ordinary, Easter eggs references to the shared universe, everything is there and in moderation. PonySmasher also inserted his own Easter eggs like Annabelle, The Conjuring, Pony :))
Watched
All the same teenage, kind movie, but it looks secondarily and not so sincerely against the background of the 1st film. Lucy Liu is like from a past life. It turns out that he is still acting in films.
Watched
Yes, the movie is lame. Many shortcomings, shorter than DC in its repertoire. However, as a visual picture, comics in motion are not bad. It won’t be enough to look at 2 times, but as a whole it’s tolerable. The post-credits scenes suck. Marvel can’t catch up.
Watched
Teenagers play superheroes. Everywhere and everywhere hee hee, ha ha. Costumes and special effects are nondescript, the plot is cliché upon cliché. Some circus.
Watched
In every way inferior to the original sequel with an idiotic plot, soap instead of graphon, a bunch of endlessly not funny chatting characters. All I can say is it’s a TEEN movie and a two hour ad for Skittles. I forget this craft like a bad dream.
Watched
Well, not the best from DC. The first part was much better, here some snot, not formidable antagonists, and in general not the same coat, of course I expected much more! Well, I don’t know, we are waiting for Flash, Barry Allen and all that
Watched
Film for children. Take your children to him until the age of 14. I do not recommend looking at the older age
Watched
I even liked the first part, but the second part definitely leaves much to be desired. What’s the matter? I can’t call the movie dull or boring, it’s just kind of awkward. One gets the impression that the script was clearly written on his knees. Shazam himself is very boring.
