    Description

Captain Barbossa, Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann must sail off the edge of the map, navigate treachery and betrayal, find Jack Sparrow, and make their final alliances for one last decisive battle.

    Сast and Crew

    Production

Following The Curse of the Black Pearls success in 2003, the cast and crew signed on for two sequels to be shot back-to-back. For the third film, director Gore Verbinski wanted to return the tone to that of a character piece after using the second film to keep the plot moving. Inspired by the real-life confederation of pirates, Elliott and Rossio looked at historical figures and created fictional characters from them to expand the scope beyond the main cast. Finally embellishing their mythology, Calypso was introduced, going full circle to Barbossa's mention of "heathen gods" that created the curse in the first film.

An epic but overloaded finale to the trilogy. I’m either a moron, or there are really so many unnecessary scenes and details here that in the end I stopped understanding who cheated on whom and why I should care about the passing drama of such a villain, drawn out over two films. The original trilogy is a story that you want to revisit from time to time. And the third part is a worthy conclusion. Translated to English

Here everything is built around the East India Company’s war against piracy. Negotiations, agreements, betrayal, pirate council, God’s wrath… And all this in a stunning atmosphere of ship action. The result is an incredibly exciting and emotional conclusion to a great trilogy. Translated to English

Of course, they got in the way, it’s difficult to follow the development of the plot, and the scene with Depp in the hiding place didn’t go well, there’s a brain explosion. But still, the film is excellent, epic water battles, working humor, charm and charisma of the characters, a powerful soundtrack and a solid villain do their job. 8.5/10 Translated to English

This film logically completes the second part, but in itself it is boring. The first two films were surprising, but this one simply carries the story to the end. Depp’s antics were very annoying; there were too many of them. It should have ended here, but money won’t earn itself. Translated to English

This is one of the examples of those rare franchises that did not collapse by the third film, if not surpassing the previous films, then at least keeping on the same level with them. The ending turned out to be dashing, beautiful, intelligent and quite epic for the final film of the trilogy. I recommend! Translated to English

It feels like everyone was exhausted by this part: the director, screenwriters, actors and even the composer. Almost 3 hours of some incomprehensible and tedious tossing. No character stands out or is memorable. Everything is following the same old rut. And that scene after the credits… That’s it. Translated to English

Oddly enough, I liked the film more than the others. Probably, thanks to the timing, more storylines were revealed. But there’s still something missing Translated to English

After re-watching the series of films, I am only lowering my rating for this one. The most drawn out and at the same time not oversaturated with events, like others. It takes almost three hours to decide who will poke Davy Jones' heart. Translated to English
