    Production

The show's pilot episode premiered on September 24, 2007. This was the second pilot produced for the show. A different pilot was produced for the 2006–07 television season but never aired. The structure of the original unaired pilot was different from the series' current form. The only main characters retained in both pilots were Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons), who are named after Sheldon Leonard, a longtime figure in episodic television as a producer, director, and actor. A minor character, Althea (Vernee Watson), appeared in the first scene of both pilots that was retained generally as-is. The first pilot included two female lead characters - Katie, "a street-hardened, tough-as-nails woman with a vulnerable interior" (played by Canadian actress Amanda Walsh), and Gilda, a scientist colleague and friend of the male characters (played by Iris Bahr). Sheldon and Leonard meet Katie after she breaks up with a boyfriend, and they invite her to share their apartment. Gilda is threatened by Katie's presence. Test audiences reacted negatively to Katie, but they liked Sheldon and Leonard. The original pilot used Thomas Dolby's hit "She Blinded Me with Science" as its theme song.

This is the best sitcom I’ve ever seen. Insanely funny and touching. Jim Parsons' Sheldon is great. A lot of humor, a lot of references and a lot of guest stars, together with an excellent script, give birth to something incredible. I’m truly glad I watched this series. Translated to English

An excellent series that has already become a cult classic! Watch exclusively in the translation of Courage Bombay. Translated to English

An excellent series that has already had an impact not only on television, but also on consciousness, raising a generation of sarcasm geeks. But I liked it precisely from an entertainment point of view and for its excellent humor. I recommend you to get acquainted! All the best and enjoy your viewing. Translated to English

Still pretty good!) some episodes are even kinda genius!)

The series went from unparalleled to "well, okay." It’s good that it’s over. It’s a pity that the ending with Rajesh Koothrapali was trashed. Translated to English

Joy, joy and joy. It’s amazing how they haven’t blown away over all these years! In the top favorite series. Translated to English

We said goodbye to another cult series… On the wave of a wonderful finale, I return the film to the top ten :) The best sitcom, thank you. Translated to English

This is the best series to date) it’s a pity that so few people are interested in science Translated to English

For over a year, The Big Bang Theory saved my lunch breaks. But even though the jokes began to get boring in recent seasons, Leonard, Penny, Howard, Raj, Bernadette, Amy, Stuart and, of course, Sheldon became like family to me. The final episode brought me to tears! Translated to English

An excellent sitcom. The humorous component of the series pleases. The development of each main character is of high quality, so that in the end everyone got what they once dreamed of. The last two seasons looked automatic, the script really ran out of steam. I’m glad that the elevator was finally fixed in the end) Translated to English

What is this! It’s time to say goodbye to friends again! This series has always been an unshakable constant of a good mood and a pleasant pastime. It’s a shame that it ended too. But, as the theory of asymmetry of the Cooper couple says, perhaps this is true only from this point of view. Translated to English

A great start to a sitcom. All the images of the characters are funny, everyone can be joked about successfully (the concentration of jokes here is crazy, the end of each line is made humorous). So far I haven’t noticed anything extra in the series. The title music and theme are awesome. Translated to English

This long series has come to an end! Although season 12 was unnecessary, the jokes of many of the characters were already boring, I will miss Sheldon Cooper with his team of scientist friends and cutie Penny. Thanks for the many references to the films, thanks for the cameos of many stars. Thanks for the series. Translated to English

It took me a long time to watch this series. I will say this – it was worth it. Translated to English

Favorite series. Four nerds who are very good at physics, and in their free time they play various computer games, read comics and have fun as best they can. Well, a blonde girl began to live next door to them, who doesn’t understand anything about this. Translated to English

I just finished watching this wonderful series. From the very beginning, when I started watching, I was convinced that this was a cool sitcom, truly harmonious in everything they could think of in it, and until the very end it was amazing. Translated to English
