A psychological western about a gunslinger who is tired of hard times and his loud reputation, and what it’s like to be the best in the West when young people constantly want to compete with you, declaring themselves. Quite original for the genre. Translated to English

A strong, deep anti-western with a wonderful performance by Peck. There is nothing in the film that the viewer of that (and indeed our) time is accustomed to seeing in Westerns. For fans of this film, I recommend watching "Bravados" by the same director with the same Peck. 9 out of 10 Translated to English
