During the production of X2, producer Lauren Shuler Donner had discussed the idea of a film focusing on the young X-Men with the crew, which was met with approval; the concept was revived during the production of X-Men: The Last Stand. One of The Last Stands writers, Zak Penn, was hired to write and direct this spin-off, but this idea later fell through. Penn explained in 2007 that "the original idea was to have me do a young X-Men spin-off, a spin-off of the young X-Men characters. But someone came up with a pretty interesting idea... it was this guy who worked with me named Mike Chamoy, he worked a lot with me on X3. He came up with how to do a young X-Men movie which is not what you'd expect."

X-Men: First Class Comic
Overview
The film "X-Men: First Class" is inspired by the rich history of the X-Men comics, primarily focusing on the early days of the iconic superhero team. The comics delve into the origins and development of the X-Men, exploring the relationships and events that shaped the characters into the heroes they are known as today.Authors
The original X-Men comics were created by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee. These legendary comic book creators introduced the world to the X-Men in 1963, establishing a universe that would grow to become one of the most beloved in comic book history.Film Adaptation
The film "X-Men: First Class" takes creative liberties with the source material, offering a fresh take on the origins of the X-Men. While it draws inspiration from the original comics, it does not adhere strictly to any specific storyline from the early issues. Instead, it combines elements from various X-Men stories to create a narrative that fits within the cinematic universe established by previous films. Overall, the film captures the spirit of the X-Men comics, focusing on themes of friendship, identity, and the struggle for acceptance in a world that fears and misunderstands mutants. However, it is important to note that the film is not a direct adaptation of any single comic book storyline.Production

A prequel to all the events of the franchise. This film tells about the beginning of the confrontation between the Professor and Magneto. Who was the first to cross the threshold of Xavier’s school and how the world was first saved from disaster. I recommend it to connoisseurs of good cinema and fans of the genre.

I watched it again, and the actors still play great and it’s interesting to watch them.

Overall a cool movie, but I’m wildly bombarded by how different James and Michael are from their characters from past films, especially James. There was a man with big blue eyes, and he became an old man with small brown ones. Just don’t write to me that they have mutated.

X-Men: First Class is a great start to the superb X-Men film series. Without drive or action-packed intrigue, but with a serious, emotionally and dramatically strong foundation of the story. Interesting both in content and execution. A must watch for all fans of the series

A strong and consistent backstory with elements of genuine fantasy against the backdrop of the real world. McAvoy’s cool and confident calm against Fassbender’s uncontrollable desire for revenge. As a result, we have an entertaining and even intelligent movie. A must watch.
