A surprisingly impressive body horror, some moments were almost numbing. The atmosphere is solid, the antagonists fully fulfill the goal of evoking fierce hatred towards themselves. It’s worth watching if only to feel that unusual Australian nerve.

The fact that the film, while frightening, shakes the nerves is a fact and its main merit. At the same time, its conventionality is not stupid, as is often the case in films of this genre, but quite organic. Thanks to competent development, black humor and brilliant acting. It’s a pity that Byrne filmed so little.

With such a synopsis, yes, in a black comedy… But no, everything is so severe with the Australians that even without the fierce brutality in the frame, what is shown will cause genuine tremors in any person with a normally developed imagination. The absence of Hollywood adds a point to the piggy bank of individuality.

Australians do have their own individual taste in horror and mania. There are some "fairytale" moments, of course, but overall…wow! Lively.
