    Production

Terry Gilliam wrote the screenplay with fellow Monty Python alumnus Michael Palin, who appears with Shelley Duvall in the small, recurring roles of Vincent and Pansy. The part of Robin Hood was originally written for Palin and the role of Evil for John Cleese. When Cleese was eventually cast as Robin Hood, Jonathan Pryce was offered the role of Evil but had already been signed for Loophole.

A decent Gilliam isekai. The jokes, of course, are not as numerous as in the Monty Pythons, but there are quite a lot of them, and they are often very unexpected for a family film. Both intellectual and quite vulgar and harsh. I had a special laugh with Nevzorov on the main villain. Translated to English

A fantasy-sci-fi phantasmagoria of extravagant intertemporal adventures of fussy dwarfs and a random boy. 6.5 out of 10 Translated to English
