A person tormented by a sense of his own guilt meets a slightly or very mad person and it turns out that he himself is the indirect cause of his madness, and then they help each other. About the all-conquering power of love, and about the fact that madness is normal, and about New York, and the grail at the end.

Gilliam’s films are fantasy, not modern fantasy, but more like fairy tales, only for adults. Nice.
